John H. Malz, 62, passed unexpectedly on October 16th. He was the husband of Kimberly (Roberts) Malz. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Edward D. and Lillian (Moreau) Malz. He resided most of his life in the Manville, Lincoln area. John had been employed as an Operating Engineer for local 57 for many years.
Besides his wife he is survived by Cory Malz, Jennifer Malz, David Flynn, Danial Flynn and Erik Malz; siblings, Frances Kenny, her husband John, Elizabeth M. Nunes, her husband Mario; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edward D. Malz Jr and Pauline D. Nevins.
His funeral will be held at 9:00am on Friday, October 23rd from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. James Church, Old River Rd., Manville at 11:00am. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
